Booking agreement and cancellation liability
Cancellations will only be accepted in writing or by email . For cancellations made within 48 hours of arrival a charge for your total booking will apply.
Refunds cannot be made for rooms that are not occupied for the full period that has been booked.
We recommend that you purchase cancellation insurance from a reputable service provider as we do not provide cancellation insurance ourselves.
Please note that for Group bookings we require a £10.00 per person non refundable deposit at the time of reservation and the full balance to be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival date.
For group Bookings of 8 or more we may ask for a £20.00 per head cash security bond on arrival which is fully refundable on departure. Security bonds cover: lost keys, accidental damage, noise disruption, unpaid bar bills etc all at the managers discretion at time of check out.
A valid debit/credit card will hold your booking until arrival where settlement of your account will be required on check in . Accounts can be settled in cash or by MasterCard or Visa. If paying by cash a valid debit/credit card will be required for security. Additional costs incurred during your stay must be settled on departure.
We do, from time to time, offer special promotions with exceptional rates in newspapers, magazines or across other forms of media. In these cases, we operate a full payment in advance, non-refundable policy. We reserve the right to apply these payment terms to other offers that reflect Apex or equivalent rates.
Discounted rates and special offers are subject to availability. Your room rate will be confirmed at the time of booking, and then reconfirmed by email for your records. We regret that we cannot change the rate or terms of your stay once a booking has been confirmed.
VAT is included at the current rate but these prices are subject to change if VAT rises above 20%. The effective rate of VAT is determined by the rate at the time you make a payment to us. If VAT rises after you have made a deposit payment on your stay, the balance of your charge will be increased to reflect the increase in the rate of VAT, if that rate is above 20%.
On occasion, we host weddings and events that may result in some public areas being temporarily unavailable. In such circumstances we will always make every effort to provide alternative facilities; however, we cannot offer refunds in the event of any facilities or services being temporarily withdrawn.
Maintenance & Improvements
As the hotel is open all year round, you may find that there is necessary maintenance, development or refurbishment work taking place during your visit. We will endeavour to keep any noise and inconvenience to a minimum.
Bed, Breakfast and Evening Meal Conditions
Guests staying on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis will be dining in our restaurant and may choose one main meal from our selected menu. Inclusive meals cannot be used against or swapped for any other item of food. We cannot offer discounts or refunds for meals not taken.
Food and drink
With the exception of baby foods, only food and drink that is purchased on the premises may be consumed on the premises.
Arrival and departure
Guests may arrive early and are welcome to use the hotel’s facilities for £2.50 per person per day, but check-in is not until 2pm and closes at 10pm, 7 days a week. Late check in can be arranged but carries a £10 charge.
On your day of departure, please vacate your room by 10:30am. Departing guests are welcome to use the facilities on their day of departure.
Smoking is not permitted in any areas inside the hotel. There is an immediate £100 fine for anybody found or evidence in which we believe you have been smoking in your room.
Any damage caused by any individual using the hotel facilities will be charged to that individual in full.
We reserve the right to make changes to our Booking Terms without prior notice.
